"What's in your bag?" I find myself asking my girlfriends this question lately because I'm nosey and I can pass it off as research for my next article. In all fairness, I thought I'd share what is currenlty in my beauty bag. I get a lot of goodies sent to me, or in swag bag from various events. Often I'm curious and end up trying to convince my accountant that the $300 worth of makeup I bought on a recent trip to New York was, indeed, for research purposes.

This is what I'm loving at the moment to treat my tender, aging skin and some of my bare minimums for going out in public:

Expert Eyes, Eye Make Up Remover Towelettes by Maybelline. Convenient to carry with me wherever I go. Gentle for my eyes. I found mine at Ulta for about $6.50 - however right now there is a 'buy one get one free' offer online!

Face washed with Neutrogena Anit-Oxidant Age Reverse Cleanser. I love this stuff. I really feel clean after using it. It clears dulling impurities and make-up, and helps to maintain your skin's natural moisture barrier to keep it feeling soothed and nourished. Available just about anywhere. I got mine in a fabulous swag bag from a beauty event. If you like to shop online, it's at drugstore.com for $8.99.

Moisturized by Dr. Michelle Copeland's Daily Moisturizer with SPF 20. Many of our Haute Market followers have enjoyed this product in the Haute Market goodie bags. Buy direct from the doc online, 4oz for $48. It takes such a small amount that it's taking me ages to use the whole bottle!

Prep face with primer by Smashbox, www.sephora.com for $36-42. This was another product found in our goodie bags a few months back. And another that lasts and lasts! Worth every penny since it also lengthens the time that my foundation stays on.

Foundation = Infalliable by L'Oreal Paris. Women seem to love it or hate it. Depends on your skin type. I have a difficult time finding foundation that lasts, so I prefer something heavy. I have to use primer first or this foundation will sometimes will seem cakey. The primer fills the lines and seems to prevent the cakey feeling, plus I think it helps the foundations stay on longer. Shop L'Oreal products at drugstore.com, approx. $12.99. Or visit Wal-Mart, Target, etc.

Whiten teeth with Liquid Smile. I purchased in town at Aestheticare Med Spa. Also available online through various retailers. $99. Small and convenient so you can carry it in your purse. Apply after brushing and flossing, and smile for 30 seconds to give it a chance to dry. Then you're done. No rinsing, no fuss.

These are just a few of the items I use in my beauty regime. It takes a lot to get this girl going. These are definitely products I rarely start my day without.
